Paying it Forward

I know we have all seen the movie- heard the saying and maybe we are sick of it. However, that being said Paying it forward works. We tend to live in a selfish society where it is all about “ME”. We forget that there are others who are struggling and trying to make it. As an author I hope that I have broken that cycle in my own little world. I support other artist and encourage others to do the same.

With that being said I want to introduce you to someone who is amazing. Her craft is breathtaking and she never fails to surprise those of us who follow her. The name of her Business is Bella Lili Jewelry. She creates the most wonderful pieces and no two are alike. http://bellalili.com/item_74/Lady-Amethyst-Sycophant-N189.htm – I own several and will be getting more.

If you haven’t yet gone to her site – purchased her jewelry then shame on you. bella liliThis is the first piece I purchased from her and the picture does not do it justice. The workmanship is unbelievable. The care she puts into each piece leaves a piece of her with it. The stones are huge and the monkeys are to die for.

I will soon be receiving a new piece with skulls and I know it will be out of this world.

What are you waiting for hook up with her on facebook under BellaLili Jewelry and that way you will be able to see each new piece as she designs and posts it. They do not last long they are snatched up almost as soon as they are posted.

I Believe in Paying It Forward! Check out Little Phil

Never Gonna Give Up

Out of the Shadows

I believe in paying my good fortune and success forward. Only by paying it forward will I continue to be a success. So with that said let me introduce you to a wonderful Blues Artist who has been around since he was fourteen years old. I just discovered him while talking to a childhood friend of mine about music artists from our past. My friend Rick Phillips who is a wonderful musician and music writer has produced and written music for an artist who is known as “Little Phil”. Both of these wonderful men are Georgia Natives who sing with the soulful and heartfilled melodies that can only come out of the south.

Rick wrote and produced Little Phil’s last two albums “Never Gonna Give Up” and “Out of the Shadows” both of these albums will keep the listener straining for more wanting to play them over and over again. The Title Song from “Never Gonna Give Up” is one that teaches us that no matter what we choose to do in life we should never give up.

It has to be an inspiration to Little Phil who started his journey in the music world at 14 years old. He was protege with a southern band called Night Shadows in 1964. He was able to intergrate himself in the music industry at that young age because he believed in who he was. He continued his James Brown soulful, rock blues and jazz music well into the 1980’s when an autombile accident put him on the sidlines for a few years. But he returned with a vengence in the 1990’s and has been going strong since.
As I listened to his music it brought to mind two of my favorite artists Eric Clapton and Johnny Lang. They all three have that soulful sound that sinks deep down into your soul and stays there long after the song has finished its haunting melody. The lyrics are timeless, the beat becomes part of you the melody dances around in your head like a puppet.
You find yourself looking and waiting for each new album almost begging Rick and Little Phil to hurry and get it cut.
Rick Phillips is a master songwriter and musician he not only knows how to write a story in three and a half minutes he knows how to bring it to life when he puts it to music.Little Phil has the ablity to make that song his own with his old soul voice. A Voice that is haunting and bold, sad and yet full of hope. Happy and joyful all at the same time.
If you haven’t heard these amazing two men and the music behind them you need to now. http://www.littlephilmusic.com/ Yes you can get the music on itunes and CD Baby – you can also go to you tube and listen to downloads on Little Phil’s website.
